This hotel was our little bit of luxury during our stay. This 5* resort hotel has prime place on the beautifully clean Sokha beach. We decided to stay here for 2 days over Christmas eve and Christmas day as a special treat over the festive season. The hotel is faultless in the grand entrance and foyer and its magnificent pool is superb for cooling off during the relentless hours of sun.
- Location - 5/5, Excellent, right on the beach and Sokha beach is very clean unlike Serendipity beach. The water is very clear and you can watch a perfect sunset whilst lazing on a lounger.
- Cleanliness - 5/5, everything spot on not a thing out of place.
- Room - 5/5 wonderful, everything you could ever want was there. We were lucky to have a pool view on the ground floor. My Mum and Aunty Irene also had pool views but they were on the 3rd floor which meant they could see the sea too. Some poor people had car park views which I wouldn't have been impressed with but that didn't affect us!
- Food - breakfast 5/5, dinner 5/5. Every morning breakfast was excellent. I recommend the Cambodian noodle soup which is cooked to your specifications in front of you. You get a choice of which noodles, meat and veggie you want and you add your herms and flavorings to your own taste....very delicious. Because we stayed on Christmas eve we had to participate in (or at least buy a ticket for the) Christmas eve gala dinner. It was $40 per person which at first we thought was expensive but the food there was brilliant. Fresh oysters (which Lesh had about 30) fresh international cured meats (which Lesh had 3 plates full and even took some back to the room with him) Huge tiger prawns, lobsters, quails which were bbq'd fresh for you. There was even traditional Christmas dinner of turkey and all the trimmings as well as local food. We all really enjoyed the food but my mum was sick for 2 days afterwards so we are not sure if it was something she ate as we were all fine.
- Service - 5/5 faultless
- Jasmine spa - 5/5, perfection. Me and my Mum treated ourselves to a 4.5 hour executive spa (mine was my Christmas present from my darling Achilles x) we had a steam, body scrub, body wrap, floral bath, 1 hour massage and a wash and blow dry for $115usd. A total bargain for over 4 hours of pampering. The women were so attentive and fabulous and I would definitely recommend the use of this spa.
- Price - 118 used per night ...expensive for our budget...but well worth it for those who want to stay in luxury. I would deffo stay here again (obviously!)
